PL Planetary Gearboxes are used in machines that require high torque, heavy duty cycles, and variable speeds. Compared to other industrial gearboxes, they have higher torque density, smaller sizes, and lighter weights. Their high torque density is due to the load being split between multiple planetary gears, allowing for more efficient energy transfer, lower vibrations, longer service life, and higher efficiency (up to 98% per stage). They can be driven directly through a servomotor or an IEC motor, or alternatively through a solid input shaft. Their torque capacity ranges from 400 to 400000 Nm.
They're mainly used in extruder machines, mixing machines, mills, concrete production, mining machinery, conveyors, construction machinery, food and beverage production, textile machinery, farm equipment, renewable energies, test benches, recycling plants, etc.
