SGS planetary gearboxes have excellent torque transmission and output shaft radial load capacity thanks to their reinforced output shaft, steel output flange and tapered roller output bearings. They're ideal for rack&pinion transmissions, specially when employing helical gearing. Unlike market standard gearboxes that employ nitrided gears, SGS gearboxes use gears made of high strength alloy steels, carburized, case hardened and ground, offering greater reliability and longer service life. Optionally available with food grade lubrication. They feature a design life that doubles the specifications from their closest competitor, and their oil lubrication makes them specially suitable for continuous or highly cyclic operation.
